This year is already half thru, so crazy. It's summer time, which means the water is calling and wedding season is in full effect. I have been working a hard hustle lately to offer the most I can do for all my amazing clients and families. I can't tell you how excited I am for all the amazing weddings, and bridal gowns, and families on my books for this year. It's an honor. But I'm also loving the families, lifestyles, and the celebrations. So much in this life to love and hold on to. One of my goals this year was to add some new locations to my shoot list, and so far I have had so much fun with that.


Tasha and Jonathon
I have had the pleasure of working with Tasha in the therapy world. I had never met Jonathon until the day of our session. It absolutely made my heart smile to see the other half to her amazing presence. I can't imagine a better fit seeing these two together.

Hannah and Chase

I think of Johnny and June with these two. They completely made their session what it was behind the camera, I simply captured them. We had the honor of being about to shoot at the historical Oakland planatation, and it was exactly what I envisioned for them.

I do require a non-refundable retainer fee with all sessions and events to secure your date. I'm considering one mini session event this year, and I'm thinking summer mini sessions, or my traditional christmas session. This is TBD, it will be a 2 day only event if enough interest is expressed, Ill be posting summer mini sessions soon, with a FOURTH OF JULY lake theme.

I am officially opening booking for 2018 wedding and lifestyles. You guys are amazing and make the trials and headaches of owning a small business like this so worth the hustle and journey (trust me, I have encountered so many).

...{2017 ahead}

 2017 is hard to believe its arrived here and we already 3 months behind us. So fast this life moves and every day we trail at it's feet to keep up. I hope everyone has found this year to be kind and graceful thus far. I want to bring a post about this upcoming year and all that is ahead. Not only do I have 2 weddings in my family, but also some amazing ones booked by some beautiful clients that I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am about.

This year I'm planning my open booking Mid March thru December, my other months are set aside for regrouping, my own lifestyle sessions, tax time (fun, fun, fun), family and creative planning, etc. Currently, I do have some open months..for lifestyle, and family sessions. In addition, I have one slot left for L&D session as well.

Many people ask why I book limited weddings....it's an easy answer, and here is why....
It's one of the the biggest days of your life, aside from the birth of your little one (which i also booked limits labor and delivery sessions as well). I feel strongly in not over loading my schedule to provide your event my undivided attention. A sweet little addition to my 2017 wedding welcome gifts is a gorgeous list of venues that are perfect for amazing bridal sessions and vendors who I have had the pleasure of working with over many events. Bridals are one of my favorites as it allows me to capture the essence of it all, the gown, the flowers, the shoes, the glow<3

{Season Changes...}

happy extra long Labor Day weekend....

I have had a busy shooting schedule lately with some amazing faces. Despite this rainy season of summer,  I have loved every second. Below are just a few....

Currently, I'm planning Holiday 2016 mini sessions. I haven't offered these in a very long time, and I only  plan on holding these once a year for all my clients. 

I am working on a tentative schedule as of now with 3 locations.

Christmas Tree Farm

The Pine Log Plantation and Christmas Tree Farm will of course be more christmas styled sessions. 

Sessions will be 30 minutes and 10 images via gallery, and session cost will be $89. Space will be limited for each date. Below is a little Pinterest inspiration from various ideas I'm working on with Something Borrowed Boutique. Stay tuned via Facebook and here for more details.

{ ..all of God's grace in one tiny face..}

I can’t even explain how much I fell in love with this particular session behind the lens. The moments unfolding before you, and being behind the lens to capture them one by one is completing exhilarating. Emily and I didn't get much time for our pre-consult appointment I had planned to complete prior to the big day, primarily because the day came much quicker and shorter notice that we originally anticipated. But when I showed up ready to shoot, her family and Drew were incredibly supportive and everything fell right in place for me capture the images I was able to. 
When I returned to them to finish with an at home lifestyle session, 

It was so heart warming to see these to just completely enthralled in their new little baby boy. Lawson is absolutely gorgeous. 
The magic behind motherhood and becoming a parent is literally breath taking, and I couldn't imagine anyone not wanting to capture this time in their life.

{50 years- Me & You}

 My clients are the best. I love growing with families.The best part of photography isn't always creating beautiful images, or the locations...it's the relationships. I got to meet this beautiful couple through another family I have grown to love and watch expand.
This was a beautiful venue in Regalwood, NC...which I truely had no idea how gorgeous the properties were until I made this little drive. Despite knowing Regalwood, for it's distinct "smell of money", I found some gorgeous little pieces of land I never knew of. I had such a fun night with this celebration. 50 years, in this crazy world ...its rare, but its real.
